The leadership and administrative sagacity of the Chairman, Management Committee of the Imo Transport Company, ITC, Hon Emeka Aririguzo has further been brought to bear, following his lined up plans towards repositioning the State government’s agency.
The Aririguzo’s led Interim Management team within the last 2 months they hold sway in ITC has received accolades from both the staff of the place and Imolites over their recorded successes that have restored life to the parastatal.
However as a means of living up to expectations, the Chairman has made a visit in far away Togo and Ghana, respectively.
In his visit to Ghana last weekend, Trumpeta Newspaper was reliably informed that he was welcomed by Eze Ndiigbo in Ghana, HRH Eze (Dr) Amb. Chukwudi J. Ihenetu.
According to grapevine sources, Aririguzo made the visit in continuation of championing the cause for better and improved Transport sector of the State based in the aforementioned Countries.
The Chairman narrated that his visit to Togo and Ghana was not for jamboree, but to ascertaining the level of work and necessary things to be done in putting up loading bays in Ghana and Togo.
Chief Aririguzo opined that in the ‘rebuild mission’ spirit of the governor, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, him and his team would not relent in going extra lengths in boostening up the ‘dilapidated ITC’ left by Rochas Okorocha and his cohorts.
While calling for the support and patronage of Imolites at home and in diaspora to enable the company reach its target in transportation sector, he assured that in no distant time, the Ghana and Togo loading bays would be actualized.
In his assertion, HRH Eze Ihenetu, an illustrious son of Imo State while welcoming the ITC helmsman in his palace lauded governor Ihedioha for his goodwill and zeal in rebuilding Imo.
Meanwhile, a member of the ITC Committee and an Ahiazu Mbaise born politician, Dikejiejemba Chuks Chilaka gave kudos to the Chairman for his doggedness in bringing back the agency to its former glory.
Chilaka described the recent move as a welcome development especially as the State government is propelled towards giving effective, sound governance.
