A Leader, in Okigwe zone and zonal Chairman of Imo liberation movement, Hon. Chuks Obiodu, has expressed optimism, that the Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha led administration will put smiles on the faces of Imo citizens.
Speaking with Trumpeta in Owerri, Hon. Obiodu, described the newly elected Governor of Imo State as a man of integrity. He said that election of Governor Ihedioha portray good thought and unique direction, which according to him, goes a long way to show his capability and acceptance to the bulk of the Imo People.
According to him, “He is a man of his words, and integrity. His wealth of experience and the outcome of his previous leadership roles show he is capable of rebuilding Imo. However, the few appointments so far made also shows that, he is accommodating the three zones of the state”
Hon. Obiodu maintained that Rt. Honourable Ihedioha applied the rules of democracy while making appointments adding that the Governor and his team have resolved to run an all inclusive government regardless of community or zone.
On the issue of overcrowded supporters flooding Ihedioha’s government, Hon. Obiodu reiterated that Rt. Hon. Ihedioha is a Governor for all, who is fixed on the goal of rebuilding Imo, with his word as his bond, while assuring that all the promises made by the Governor will be met, effectively.
Hon. Obiodu further stated that the Governor’s inaugural speech encapsulated his fatherly thought for the people of Imo State, enumerating the key promises made, including the move to ensure a robust House of Assembly, give a facelift to the judiciary where the rule of law will be the order of the day, re-right the wrong of previous administrations, revive the civil service system and dualize roads linking the three zones in the state.
Hon. Obiodu also said, “Governor Ihedioha has set the ball rolling. I believe Imolites will smile again in few months time”.
While commending the governor on his emergence, Hon. Obiodu urged Imolites to support and embrace the policies of the new administrations.
