The emergence of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha as the 6th Executive governor of Imo State, has continued to receive a nod from Imolites and beyond.

In a felicitation note sent to the new government, the Chief Executive and Managing Director, CEO/MD, Greyhound Security Services Limited, member, Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, Chief G. G. E. Iheka described Governor Ihedioha as a pragmatic, ardent listener and a goal getter.

He disclosed that Imo State in his tenure will experience a robust boost in both human and capital development, which was lacking in the past.

Judging by his leadership and legislative prowess, Chief Iheka averred that it is no longer going to be business as usual, rather, going to be a new, people oriented administration where rule of law, fundamental Human Rights and effectiveness in governance will be an order of the day.

Speaking on the security challenges that bedeviled the State in the past, the security expert retorted that in fighting crime, it involves thorough investigation, combat, and a lot of tactics for one to succeed.

Reiterating the readiness of Greyhound Security Services in assisting the government led by Governor Emeka Ihedioha, Iheka pledged their resilience, stressing that for there to be a good result as in the case of Imo, deep information gathering is paramount, which he said Greyhound has an A1 in providing such services.

However, he prayed and advised the “Rebuid” government in the State to make good use of private security companies, pointing out that they are in the position to give information about hoodlums and other related crimes and social vices as they are grassroots in information gathering.

While regretting the look down of private security companies exhibited by his predecessor who only spent extravagantly in establishing and funding some security outfits with little or no impact achieved, Chief Iheka urged Ihedioha not to tow same lane, but to make a positive difference in that regard.

“I am so happy that a new government has been ushered in, and knowing the new governor so well, I have no doubt he is definitely going to fight crime in the State”.

In a related development, he advised governorship candidates with cases in the election tribunal against the governor, to as a matter of fact withdraw their cases for the overall interest of the masses, as well as allowing the governor concentrate to the rebuild projects he was elected for.
