N500m Naira Damages; Court fixes Judgment tomorrow between Rochas And Eze Ilomuanya. .As Attan Ogoh sues Imo Govt over demolished property.

 

The case between the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and HRH Eze Cletus Ilomuanya at the Federal High Court Owerri comes for judgment tomorrow, Wednesday.

Eze Ilomuanya, the former Chairman of the Imo State Traditional Rulers Council, had proceeded to court demanding the sum of N500m (Five hundred million naira) as damages over the alleged invasion of his house located at Concord Area, Owerri, by the State Task Force On Recovery of Government Property.

Ilomuanya’s laywer, Bar Obiora Obianwu (SAN) as praying the court that his client’s residence was allegedly invaded on August 5, 2011 by six men led by one Dr Placid Ekwueme, and removed property belonging to Eze Ilomuanya without any court order.

The alleged property removed include one 406 Peugeot vehicle, one Toyota Siqua Jeep and one Pilot Hilux Jeep.

Joined in the suit are the Imo State Governor, the Attorney – General, Police Service Commission, Imo State Police Commissioner, the Inspector General of Police and the six – man team of the Task Force led by Placid Ekwueme.

Meanwhile, Chief Attan Ogoh, a former Transition Chairman of Orlu LGA, has dragged the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to court over his demolished property.

The matter comes up tomorrow at Orlu High court 2. His Lawyer is Bar Ken Njemanze (SAN) leading other counsel.

Ogoh ran to court after his Palatial business complex at Orlu, hosting computer school, fast food joint and other business out – lets was bulldozed down.

The two storey building, according to chief Ogoh, was built with a Bank Loan running into millions of naira, after all the requirements were met, including approvals from Orlu LGA, and Imo State Ministry of Lands.

Ogoh said he is still in shock after what he described as his source of income was pulled down, pointing out that he believes in due process, and therefore seeks justice.

“I could have built that house in Owerri where I would have made more money from rent, but I chose my home town Orlu, to render my on contribution to the development of the town” he told Imo Trumpeta .

Meanwhile, a block of stores have taken over where what used to be Ogoh’s Palatial Fast Food joint used to be.
