Ihedioha Youth Movement on Sunday held a thanksgiving mass at the Assumpta cathedral Owerri to mark his 54th birthday celebration and victory at the just concluded gubernatorial election.
Speaking at the event , the state coordinator Ihedioha Youth movement Engr. Rex Okoro posited that they deemed it necessary to thank God after successful outing at the polls adding it’s only God that can give victory.
According to him, Our Principal his Excellency Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha the Governor elect is a man of credible qualities, he believes so much in the youth empowerment.
While he was the Deputy Speaker in the federal House of Representative he had over 500 Imo youths in his pay roll, including the numerous projects he attracted to the state.
He also said that the emergence of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the Governor elect of Imo State is divine especially now that Imolites are yawning for a leader with administrative acumen.
“We want to congratulate the Governor elect Rt. Hon. Ihedioha on behalf of the entire Imo youths on his victory and birthday celebration, we also pledge our unalloyed support to his government.
In his responds, Rt. Hon. Ihedioha thanked the leadership of the youth movement for being resilient throughout the struggle stressing that they have proved that Imo youths are indeed ready to participate in governance.
He further assured that his government will carry the youths along in every process as he will also spread projects across boards irrespective of Zone all local government.
However he, called on the aggrieved party’s and stakeholders to bury their hatches and throw in their support to his administration in order to rebuild Imo state to its original status.
