Election Fund: Rescue Mission Moves Against LGA Chairmen, Appointees, 9 AA Party Chairmen Suspended

There were reports of confusion in the rescue mission camp over the mismanagement of funds meant for elections.

According to impeccable source the government of Imo State has considered it necessary to sanction those that made away with electoral funds.

Right now the families of those suspected to have seized the funds are under pressure to pay back to avoid being disgraced. Those who gave out the funds are now asking for refund. After the presentation of results from the various wards candidates of Action Alliance who sat for the March 9, 2019 elections raized eye brows on the unimaginable lost to PDP and other parties at the election. The candidates demanded that the managers should as a matter of urgency bring back the funds.

Chief Uche Nwosu, the gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance the governorship election was surprised to hear that after all fund that was dolled out for logistics leaders who collected money could not deliver.

This failure has made government of the state to move against appointees and nine council chairmen who were alleged to have played double standard during the election. Move by councilors of local government areas to unseat executive chairmen of the council is said to have started.

In Aboh Mbaise the move to pass vote of no confidence on the leadership of the council was reported to have failed as the councilor who gathered in anger could not seat again due to the fact that the sagent at arm was absent on Wednesday when the deal would have been executed.

In Ihitte Uboma local government area, things have began to fall apart there because the leaders could not deliver and consequently AA failed woefully in that place and now plan to unseat the council chairman the leader of the House is in top gear as we gathered.

Ehime Mbano, Isiala Mbano, Obowo is not left out.

Information has it that some party chairmen has been suspended already. Those AA LGA party chairmen affected include. ‘Hon Peter Igwe of Ohaji Egbema LGA, Hon Ifeanyi Okpowaeze of Ideato North, Hon Ikenna Okatta of Oru East, Hon Ifeanyi Opara Owerri Municipal, Yossi Endy Nwayanwu from Njaba. Ifeanyi Ejims of Ngor Okpala, HON Donatus Obilor Nwangele LGA, Hon Augustine Anyanwu of Aboh Mbaise and Hon Augustine Ekemezie Mbaitoli Local Government Area.
