The Imo Governor Elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has been described as the best choice by the Imo electorates, in the midst of all other governorship candidates in the 2019 election, considering the level of decay and misrule the State has suffered in the last eight years under Chief Rochas Okorocha.
Chief Martin Opara, the President General of Olu Owerri – the apex socio-cultural union of Owerri zone made the assertion at the Owerri office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) while accompanying the Governor Elect for the collection of his Certificate of Return, Wednesday in Owerri.
Chief Opara said that Rt. Hon. Ihedioha acquired the requisite leadership training and tutelage during his twelve years at the House of Representatives, majority part of which he was a presiding officer. He restated the preparedness of the Governor Elect to rebuild Imo and address the problems of substandard projects, fraudulent Local Government regime, illegal recruitment of relations and cronies into the civil service, fraudulent award of contracts, land grabbing and demoralized workforce which were hallmarks of the Rochas Okorocha regime.
The vibrant community leader used the opportunity to thank Imolites for voting an illustrious Owerri son with strong character and integrity to Govern Imo at this critical time, assuring that Ihedioha will not fail. He congratulated the Governor Elect on his successful collection of Certificate of Return and assured him that Owerri people and indeed, Imo electorates are solidly behind him.
