The 2019 election victory of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha has been receiving a cheering approach by Imolites across board.
Ihedioha emerged the Governor-elect, having certified the election rules and guidelines and was declared by the INEC State Collation Officer, Prof Francis Otunta.
Meanwhile, the National President of Amalgamated Eastern Movement, Enyioha Chris Anyanwu has congratulated the governor-elect for the resounding guber victory.
Hailing the Former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Enyioha Chris Anyanwu described his emergence as a victory for Imolites.
While commending the Imo electorates for voting good governance, he said the State is at a verge of transformation, and liberation, positing that with the leadership sagacity of Ihedioha, the State will bounce back to normalcy.
He charged the incoming Governor on inclusive government and to ensure transparency towards the service to humanity.
“I humbly pray the governor-elect to see Ndi Imo as stakeholders in all his programs, and should run an inclusive Government”.
Speaking further, the immediate past National President of Imo State University Alumni Association commented on the independence of the three tiers of government.
Going by the importance of the 3 tiers of government, the Mbaise born administrator cum technocrat beckoned on him to restore efficiency and dignity in the State and Local Government service system.
Enyioha recalls that the ministries and Government agencies should be restructured to go back to work, enjoining the LGA workers and civil servants on promptness to work and dedication to duty.
On the issue of the Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC, Imo State chapter, Chief Ihedioha is advised to ensure a harmonious working relationship with the NLC.
Also, he clamoured on the independence of the three arm of government, which ensures result oriented governance.
“According to Enyioha Chris Anyanwu, Expectation is high from the people. He should govern with the fear of God, and with people’s interest at heart. By the grace of God, Imo will be liberated. I am quite optimistic that he will restore the dignity of Labour in Imo State”.
