Suspected last minutes fraud is about to commence in Imo Rescue Mission administration led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Information gathered has it that fake and illegal task forces have come back in the streets to exploit and to extort money from shop owners, motorists and traders, especially those within Owerri metropolis.
Over five different task forces putting different uniforms and suspected to be fake have been terrorizing Owerri people since last week the elections.
Eye witness account revealed that these task forces come out in the morning on daily basis to extort money from victim without fear.
Trumpeta observed no legal receipt is given to those they collected money from. Moreover the humiliate and beat up those who refuse to give them money. Vehicle and shops have been damaged in the course of trying to extort money from motorists and shop owners.
At world back estate last round about hoodlums have formed a serious taskforce to extort money. Some boys have also formed illegal motor parks, to collect illegal that they are generating revenue to Imo government but when they were accosted over the weekend by security operatives, the boys mentioned some government agents that instructed them to swing into action and raise money. Motorists in Owerri now find it very difficult to ply through Wethdral, World Bank, Douglas and Amakohia roads because of those taskforces who extort money from them on daily basis.
