Following alleged looting of government properties in Imo to unknown destination and withdrawal of over N17b under governor Okorocha’s watch, the Abundant Renewal Party (ANRP) Imo state has through its chairman, Mr. Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu backed the 2019 Imo governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha’s continued surveillance on the activities of his outgoing predecessor.

Speaking to Trumpeta newspaper at the ANRP secretariat on Egbu road recently, Mr Chibuike revealed that the purported diversion of state properties under the rescue mission led administration is a subject of fowl play against Imolites and the incoming governor of the state.

Mr Chibuike said that with less than 75days for Okorocha to perform handover rituals and vacate Douglas house for Ihedioha’s, advised Imolites to champion the course of a smooth and successive transition adding that all hands must be on deck against any relocation plans of state owned properties and funds.

The political technocrat recalled the alarm raised by the PDP over transfer of vehicles, electronics, furniture’s to Ogboko and the bank transactions amounting to huge withdrawals to the tune of over N17b within 3days by governor Rochas Okorocha since the declaration of results by INEC.

The State Chairman of ANRP advice the state government to be prudent in managing the state’s resources till their last day in office so as to afford the new governor a smooth transition and an opportunity to rebuild Imo for the collective interest of Ndi Imo.

Mr Chibuike Nwachukwu encouraged Imolites to be steadfast in their support for Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and remain peaceful, law abiding.
