Family members of Governor Rochas Okorocha is leaving in fear and tensed following the failure of Uche Nwosu to grab the governorship seat after the election. Because of the fear, operatives of the Nigerian Police and Army have taken control of their business outlets of scattered across the state capital.

Moments after the 2019 Governorship election was declared in favour of Chief Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP, scores of security men took strategic positions at the entrance of the properties in Owerri indicating fear if attacks on their lives and property. It was also learnt that the family members and their in-laws are yet to be spotted on the roads since last Saturday.

On PortHacourt Road, New Owerri, the House of Freeda and Westbrook Hotel suspected to be owned by Uche Nwosu, the governor’s son in-law and AA Governorship candidate witnessed army and police presence after the election while a hospitality outfit of the second son in-law, Dr Uzoma Anwuka is under protection.

Similarly, some of the business outfits linked to the elder sister, Geraldine in the same New Owerri, a hospitality sector known as Farmer’s Kitchen on ISOPADEC Road, as well as Twitter Bites Fast Food Mbari Ikenegbu area of Owerri are seriously being guarded by the operatives as at the time of this report.

Also Nwosu’s House of Freeda said to be under the control of the wife and first daughter of Okorocha on MCC Road, Uratta, new school building  on Nekede Inland Road, including East High School premises on ISOPADEC Road has army and police presence.

Okorocha and wife properties are also not left out as the Hive along Orji Road, All- In- One furniture centre on Aba Road, Akachi Estate, Naze Road, Willowood on Orlu and Orji roads are under protection. Some of  governor’s wive’s NGO property on Orlu and Okigwe roads, including the WOODI centre in New Owerri have security operatives hovering around to ward off unwanted visitors.

The presence of security operatives at the various locations may not be unconnected to certain activities of jubilants who destroyed billboards and outdoor advertisements bearing Okorocha and family members names.

Wild jubilations and streets carnivals leading to destruction of Okorocha and Uche Nwosu’s billboards erupted moments it was obvious Ihedioha had won.

Meanwhile, the defeat of Chief Uche Nwosu, governor Okorocha’s son in-law in the March 9 guber and House of Assembly election has brought humiliation to the Rescue Mission Government.

Information reaching us revealed that the defeat has made governor Okorocha to have sleepless nights as a result considered it necessary to relocate to his Spibat private estate were he now host government, officials, friends and well-wishers.

Okorocha, it was learnt he has tactically handed over to Uche Nwosu, his son in-law to complete the administration and probably hand over to the governor elect Chief Emeka Ihedioha come May 29th 2019.

We further gathered that Uche Nwosu and his wife Uloma, have fully packed into Imo Government House Lodge. Uche Nwosu and his wife have resolved to go on with their life and forget about their defeat in the guber polls.

Our reporter gathered that while few leaders are mourning the fate of the Rescue Mission, others have dumped Okorocha to join Chief Emeka Ihedioha for the new government.
