The mayor of Orlu zone Chief Mrs. Stella Odimegwu on her last meeting with the National Union of Road Transport Workers Orlu Chapter said, that a new cite for the long expected Central Park for Orlu people has been discovered and work has begun on the cite.
In her speech, she said that apart from this Central Park situate at ikpanwaerere there would be two other parks at the out skirts of Orlu which the cites for the construction have also been discovered.
One of which would be at Ideato North which the construction will begin as soon as the road leading to the place is finished .The other park according to her will be at the former Army Barracks at the boundary of Umuna and Eziachi .Hon Mrs. Odimegwu, the Mayor of Orlu told the Union that as soon as the completion of the parks are over all the commercial vehicles within Orlu metropolis would cease to give room for keke operators to bring in the passengers into the town from the parks.
Hon, Mrs. Odimegwu, a one time T.C Chairman of Osu L G A expressed her readiness to serve the people of Orlu and urged the Union to give the office maximum support as she promised that these parks would have the modern facilities required including offices for the staffs of the Union she concluded
Hon Celestine Aladum, member of the Mayoral told the Union to be law abiding stressing that the Mayoral under Mrs. Odimegwu meant well for them.
Hon chief Emma Ebuzoeme and Chief Vitus Dim showed gratitude to the mayor and promised to help her achieve the desired goal, from Mr. Anaele.
