Okey Ezeh Remains Imo SDP Governorship Candidate- Party SWC

The Imo State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party, SDP has reaffirmed that Sir Okey Ezeh remains its undisputed Candidate for the Governorship Election in the State ahead of the forthcoming general election ,noting that no court invalidated his mandate.

Ogbuefi Val Amafile ,the Imo State chairman of the Social Democratic Party ,SDP who spoke on behalf of the party State Working Committee ,SWC dismissed insinuation that the judgment of Federal High Court sitting in Owerri on Tuesday 5th March 2019 sacked Mr Okey Ezeh as governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Imo state.

He said expressed optimism that Appeal Court would set aside the judgment of 5th March 2019, for which he said a Notice of Appeal was issued to his opponent.

Emefile appealed to the people of Imo State ,particularly Sir Ezeh’s supporters to remain calm and peaceful hoping that justice would be served in a short while.

In reaction to his purported sack, Sir Okey Ezeh, an Investment Banker expressed disbelief in the judgment of Justice Tijjani Ringim , adding that he was certain that they weren’t going to get unbiased judgement .He said he had appealed the decision after further deliberations.

Okey Ezeh pointed out that apart from being the undisputed and popular Governorship Candidate of SDP in Imo State, that his party SDP and himself stand out. We have gone round the 27 council area of Imo and the reception received was awesome, he averred.

According to Ezeh who described Anyanwu as an interloper without any political platform ,”SDP as a political party has every right to determine his party candidate .I won’t allow myself to be distracted judgment, even though we have applied for stay of action but I remain the duly elected gubernatorial candidate of SDP in Imo”

He enjoined Imolites to vote for every candidates of the horse party because they will bring about paradigm shift in Imo.
