Many may not know him now except his Ihitte Uboma constituents who he represented in the Imo State House of Assembly between 2003-2007. Hon Greg Owuamalam was elected under the platform of PDP for the Ihitte/Uboma position. Hon Owuamalam’s election was historic as it left serious crack in the political affinity of major political stakeholders in the area.
Four years after the House of Assembly action, the six-foot tall ex-lawmaker seems to have gone into political oblivion as his name no longer counts in Ihitte/Uboma politics. Prior to the 2011 election, the soft spoken politician was among PDP members who defected to ACN but were unsuccessful as their party flopped during the election. Hon Owamalam has no option than to go into political hibernation. He longer makes public appearance. POPULAR SIDE was told that the former legislator is into private business. Hon Owuamalam is now a major dealer of a building product. Maybe he wants to hang on to that until 2014/15 when the jungle will mature for politicians again. POPULAR SIDE wishes him success outside politics.
