The odds are seriously working against the Daniel Nwafor led faction of Imo State chapter of the APC as further to their dissolution by the National Working Committee of the APC, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has worsen their case with non recognition status.
This is as a result of their non consideration in view of the authentic Exco members of the party recognized for the 2019 election.
Recall that intra party skirmishes had given rise to the existence of Imo APC factions in Imo. Following the dissolution of the Nwafor led Exco that is backed by the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, that of Coalition faction supported by Marcon Nlemigbo, was inaugurated as the caretaker committee of the party.
Irrespective of the court action instituted by Nwafor and Co challenging the decision of APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshimole, over the dissolution, INEC further worsened their case by refusing to consider agents submitted to it for the 2019 election.
Trumpeta learnt that despite several letters it wrote to INEC, the electoral body only accredited APC agents of those the Nlemigbo group submitted.
The decision of INEC has sent shivers down the spines of Okorocha’s camp of APC who had hoped that their agents would be accredited to cater for the interest of the party during the votes. In the interim, the Nwafor led group has returned to the courts against the development.
