Following intelligent reports that Boko Haram Agents may have sneaked intoImoState, disguising as Hausa Traders, security operatives were said to have stormedDouglas Road, Owerri to evacuate the illegal Hausa Traders selling wares on the road.
However, Imo Trumpeta was informed that the illegal traders resisted the security operatives with various forms of weapons, which led to fracas between the security operatives and the Hausa Traders.
This led to free for all fight along the busyDouglas Road, as commuters and car owners abandoned their vehicles and took to their heels.
An eyewitness told Imo Trumpeta that some Hausa Traders had left the usual Ama Hausa spot to set shops along theDouglas Road, where strange fellows have been milling around, arousing suspicion from the Traders at Ekeukwu Owerri who raised the alarm which attracted security operatives.

It was in response to this call that security operatives swung into action only to be confronted by these illegal traders.
