Some workers in Imo State Ministry of Lands are now said to be in serious trouble over the alleged sale of plot of lands in Imo State.
Our source revealed to Trumpeta that staff of the Ministry were last year given allocation papers for centenary city lay out project and were directed to develop the plots allocated to them into private houses where they will live in future but some beneficiaries of the allocated plots allegedly considered it necessary to sale the portions allocated to them without following due process.
Trumpeta further gathered that Governor Rochas Okorocha is not happy with the development and may have ordered that those involved in the sale of such lands be punished for illegal act.
One of the directors in the ministry of lands who spoke to our reporter at the State Secretariat revealed the anger of the government on the premature sale of the plots, adding that such illegal act is unacceptable by the ministry of Lands and Civil Service Rule. The Director maintained that the plots allotted to those staff who are involved in the illegal sale of plots have been revoked until otherwise stated.
He frowned at the issue of staff involved in illegal deals.
