The recently held peace talk that saw to the uniting of the Imo State flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha, and the Senator representing Imo East, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy) has attracted kudos to the likes of Chiefs; Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Achike Udenwa, and I. D. Nwoga.

The trio are commended for their fundamental roles towards ensuring a mutual understanding among party members, especially with the obvious disagreements that ensued after the party’s primaries.

In a commendation note, the Vice President, Ohaneze Ndiigbo in South Africa, and an Mbaise born political pundit, Dikejiejemba Chuks Chilaka described Iwuanyanwu, Udenwa, and Nwoga as true committed elder statesmen.

Describing their action as a clear example of their love for the progress of Imo PDP, and concern over the welfare of Imolites as the next general election approaches, he said such persons deserves laurels and accolades for living up to the dictates expected of elder statesmen, other than sowing more seeds of discord among the younger ones.

Expressing satisfaction, Dikejiejemba Chuks Chilaka solemnly thanked Senator Samuel Anyanwu for harkening to the plights of the elders of the party.

He eulogized the Owerri Senator for being a true son of the land by showcasing an uncommon act of humility, pointing out that being a good politician is not all about the number of supporters, but ability to do the people’s will, listen to the people and doing the right thing for the interest of the majority.

While soliciting for lasting peace and unity of purpose, Chilaka enjoined the leadership and members of the party, to see the upcoming election as a ‘chance’ to liberate Ndi Imo from another 8 years of undue hardship and tyranny.

According to Dikejiejemba Chuks Chilaka, “With this, PDP has no opponent any more, but easy ride to victory. With this brotherly unity anchored by our respected elders, in the persons of Chief I.D Nwoga, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Chief Achike Udenwa, and others, Imolites should rejoice”.

He continued, “Everyone should work to deliver his or her polling booth and wards, starting from the 16th February elections to 2nd March. Ihedioha is ordained to redeem Imo State, so we all should work collectively to deliver”.

Major part of the reconciliation gathering held last week in Owerri, was the beckoning on Samdaddy to withdraw all Court cases filed against any one or group, in relation to the said outcome of the primary election, for the common goals of winning the general election, Which the distinguished senator has obliged and poised to support his bosom friend and maternal brother.

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Senator Samdaddy had approached the law Court for a reversal of the October 1, 2018 primary election result which saw Emeka Ihedioha winner of the exercise for Imo PDP.
