Mbaike Reps Association of Mbaitoli Journalists Okays Iwuorie

After critical analysis of the infrastructural and economic decay in the Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency, occasioned by poor representation of past and present representatives, the Association of Mbaitoli Journalists has thrown its weight on Barr. Chibuzo Dan Iwuorie.

In a resolution passed by majority of members of the Association and availed to the press, the Association maintained that after scrutiny of candidates for the Federal constituency Seat, only Dan Iwuorie met the requirements, both in character and manifestoes, adding that it will be suicidal if people who do have the interest of the constituents at heart are elected into positions.

The Association appreciates the position of law-makers who do not have executive powers to influence the location of developmental projects, but stressed that there are various means with which proactive and diligent lawmakers can attract projects to his people.

The pen-pushers therefore called on representatives who have the people’s mandate to live up to expectations, warning that it will no longer be business as usual.

Responding, Barr. Dan Iwuorie thanked the Association for the courage to speak for the people, adding that the press as the forth-estate of the realm is in the position to determine good governance and discipline erring representatives.

Barr Iwuorie said he is poised to make a difference at the National Assembly, adding that he will employ all necessary means to ensure that developmental projects are bought to his constituency.

He stressed his desired to give effective representation, adding that he will encourage the youths through empowerment and skill acquisition to equip them for the future.

The APC candidate for Mbaike Federal Constituency seat promised to present a yearly score card of his achievements to his people as a feed-back mechanism, pointing out that good road and electricity will be part of his priorities.
