The Executive Chairman, Owerri Municipal Council, Chief Emma Odor, has dragged Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and seven others to court. In suit No HOW/5901/2012, Odor sought for an interlocutory injunction, restraining the Imo State Governor, their agents, servants, privies, appointees, representatives, hirers, assignees or successors in office, from further taking over functions of the markets, motor parks, designation of one way bye pass, naming of streets, numbering of houses and closing of parks in Owerri Municipal local government Area of Imo State pending determination of the substantive suit.
The motion read in part, “An order of interlocutory injunction restraining the agents, appointees, servants and in what ever name called from performing the functions of the 1st defendant and as well stop parading themselves as the caretaker committees of the markets, motor parks, street numbering and one way bye pass in Owerri Municipal local government Area of Imo State, till the determination of the substantive suit”
