A socio-Activist and politician, Prince Bob Njemanze has said that the out-going Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is now a drowning man, looking for straw to grip his hands as the water carries him away.
Speaking to Trumpeta on phone yesterday, the fearless Public Advocate said that rather than own up to his various political failures, Okorocha is looking on who to blame for his down-fall, pointing out that the out-going Governor will live to reap all the evil he sowed on Imo State.
Speaking on the demolished Ekeukwu Owerri Market, the scion of the Njemanze Dynasty in Owerri Municipal Council maintained that it was unfortunate that rather than acknowledge his mistake in mauling than the prosperous and sprawling Ekeukwu market, Okorocha is bandying names around as the causes of the historical mistake.
He said Ekeukwu Owerri remains an albatross of the Okorocha’s misrule which he cannot escape from.
“Eke Ukwu Owerri remains Okorocha’s albatross for which he has been looking for whom to heap the blames on” Njemanze told Trumpeta.
He said that Okorocha has once accused him (Bob Njemanze) of sanctioning the relocation of Ekeukwu Owerri, which he said could not hold water, and the Governor has now shifted the blame to Chief Willie Amadi whom he said chaired a Committee which directed the demolition of Owerri.
Bob Njemanze said all these allegations are lies manufactured by Okorocha in his bid to shift the demolition of Ekeukwu Owerri, Market to another fellow than the Executive Governor who ordered Bulldozers to maul down the market even against Court Order to take responsibility.
“I have never seen anyone who relishes in undoing others like Okorocha” he said.
The Prince laughed at Okorocha, saying that the Governor is now crying to courts seeking redress, while in his years in office Okorocha never gave respect to any single court order.
He alleged that Okorocha was the Napoleon of the Book “Animal Farm” who was above law of the land, with a “Squealer” who propagates and coloures all Okorocha’s draconian actions to suit his master’s imagination, without bothering how the masses feel.
He said Okorocha is facing a political volcanic eruption, through the reaction of the establishments and the masses which Okorocha should decipher to know whether he is popular or unpopular among the people he claims to Govern.
He said the reaction of the populace to the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodinma as APC Governorship candidate, irrespective of where he comes from is a school tought for Okorocha.
He advised Okorocha to move to another political platform and sell the Governorship project of his son-inlaw, Uche Nwosu, whom he claimed to be the best candidate in Imo State, pointing out that it is an opportunity for Okorocha to show his proverbial political acceptance among Imo populace.
“For those who say Uche Nwosu has the best quality to be Governor of Imo State, this is an opportunity for them to be encouraged to use another platform to ferret Uche Nwosu across to sing Alleluya!” he said.
