The member representing Oru East State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Nkenna John Nzeruo has continued to show love, dedication and diligence towards the desired representation expected by his constituents.
This became obvious with the recent completion of the magnificent Information Communication Technology, ICT center built for Oru East people at the Council headquarters, Omuma.
Trumpeta correspondent observed that while many of his colleagues across the 27 Local Government Areas are yet to plaster their projects that of Oru East had already been completed and fully equipped with modern age computer sets estimated to be over 50.
The ICT center was initiated by Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s led Rescue Mission Government, and handed over to the 27 lawmakers as their constituency project, early 2016.
Unhindered by the “illegal suspension of the 5 lawmakers” which involves Nkenna Nzeruo, as best described by an Owerri Federal High Court verdict led by Justice Goddy Añunihu on Monday quashed the suspension with eight million naira cost of damages in favour of the applicants, and one hundred thousand naira fine, Nzeruo had already rounded up the project waiting for its commissioning by Imo State government.
It would be recalled that they had been on an indefinite suspension since the 27th of June under an acronym of “unparliamentary conduct” as spelt out by the mover of the motion from Owerri Municipal (Lugard Osuji).
According to Hon Nzeruo who was spotted earlier yesterday on the last inspection tour of the ICT before its unveiling ceremony any time soon, he described it as a dream come true.
He expressed optimism that his constituents would not have to travel far for computer related programs, but would be adequately trained and equipped in ICT programs.
Hon Nkenna Nzeruo retorted that there is need to improve on computer awareness among the youths and civil servants, especially on the present age where technology is of a greater advantage.
The vibrant legislator however enjoined his constituents to make good use of the opportunity in harnessing their talents, as well as embracing every opportunity that comes on their path in becoming self reliant.
Speaking further, he lauded the Imo State government for the vision, as well as his constituents for standing solidly by him within and during the trial periods. He therefore reassured of his loyalty and determination in ensuring that the voice of Oru East is heard for good.
In a related development, the people of Oru East LGA have expressed satisfaction over the laudable achievement attracted by Hon Nkenna John Nzeruo, affirming that he remains the best in the history of Oru East legislators.
Trumpeta also gathered that the ICT center will be commissioned by the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in no distant time for the kick off of operations.
