Gov. Okorocha had told Imo people that the Imo state University permanent site was to be relocated to Ogboko against the agreed site at Ngor Okpala/Aboh Mbaise.
Being in hurry, Okorocha defied, consultation, due process and swung into action. The progressive and patriotic people of Imo state rose against such move but all efforts were snubbed by the Rescue Field Marshall. State funds were spent on the project to an almost 90% completion before the Governor made a U-turn, saying that the project will no longer be IMSU but a private University.
Recently, the Governor also told Ndi Imo that a delegation headed by the Deputy Governor will travel to Spain to sign a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) take over the University.
POPULAR SIDE cannot also forget in a hurry when the Governor came back from his USA trip in July and announced his signing of MoU with an American University to take over the university as one of the benefits of his US trip.
Please somebody should reconcile those two MoUs for POPULAR SIDE and tell Ndi Imo the whole truth on the Ogboko University project because no investor will sign an MoU without seeing what he is investing on. POPULAR SIDE is of the opinion that if the truth be told the MoU should have been sign in Imo after the investors must have seen and assessed the project physically.
