Jubilation has continued to be the lot of people of Ohaji/ Egbema, Oguta and Oru West federal constituency following the return ticket the Member Representing the area in the National Assembly, Rt Hon Goodluck Opiah won.
Opiah who won the primaries of the party has also been confirmed the ticket holder of the APC after undergoing INEC documentation and having his name forwarded to the electoral body before the October 18, deadline for submission of party lists.
People of the federal constituency who are in joyful mood over the Opiah APC ticket have disclosed that it remains one of the best developments to happen to Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West for the next political dispensation.
Trumpeta learnt that moments it was confirmed that the name of Opiah who won the Primaries remains the one submitted to INEC, the three LGAs erupted in wild jubilation.
It was learnt that the joy of the masses in the federal constituency is not divorced from the legislative expertise, Opiah has so far showcased since he became the Federal Constituency man in Abuja.
Apart from sponsorship of Motions and Bills peculiar to the wants of his people, Opiah stands tall among his colleagues in the Green Chambers as a federal lawmaker that has attracted democracy dividends through high display of Constituency Representation unknown in the history of representation in the state.
In oversight functions, this newspaper gathered that the former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly had bountiful achievements in his kitty to win the clamour of constituents asking for another tenure to him through the ruling party.
Most of the constituents who spoke to our correspondent in the area confessed that Opiah goes beyond Goodluck to Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Oru West as he can be described Goodness to the people.
The constituents who spoke to the newspaper appreciated the APC leadership for reposing confidence in the lawmaker who made legislative landmark as a state assembly member when he sponsored the Bill for a Law leading to the establishment of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC; a government agency expected to cater for the needs of the people. The people promised to mobilise support for Opiah beyond party affiliation to ensure he wins in 2019
