Groan with the desire to effect qualitative representation for the people of Ideato-south state constituency in Imo House of assembly in 2019, renowned journalists in the state and 2015 assembly aspirant for Ideato-south IMHA seat, Hon Victor Madumere accompanied with members of Ihechidere campaign organization and members of his constituents has taken bold steps as he picked his nomination and expression of interest form at the People’s Democratic Party PDP secretariat last Monday 3rd , September, 2018.
Speaking, the former Trumpeta newspaper editor, Hon Victor Madumere told journalists that he picked the nomination form to contest for Ideato-south state assembly seat to better his constituency as there is a lot to be done to salvage Imo from its moribund statues and correct its enormous abnormalities.
The advocate for youth inclusiveness in governance revealed that supports he gets from his constituents, at the grassroots were expressions of an overwhelming desire to change the current phase of representation in their time, he disclosed that members of his ward supported financially for his nomination form.
Hon Madumere who expressed enthusiasm with the current leadership of PDP enjoined Imolites to be steadfast and hopeful, according to him, “the darkest part of the night will soon phase away with a new dawn. We don’t have a House of Assembly Imo. My Local government where the governor comes from is the worst and needs meaningful change that’s why my people are rallying support for me to change the tides of leadership. Votes will be casted and counted this time” he said.
In their remark, the director general of Ihechidere campaign organization, Hon Bonaventure Umeh, secretary of ward 2 Isiekenesi, Hon Fimbar Ikpkah and the woman leader Isiekenesi ward 2, Mrs Ifeoma Ohaeriaku described Hon Victor Madumere as a humble person, the right caliber and candidate with the requisites to represent his people effectively and efficiently at the state assembly haven searched rigorously.
They reiterated the support of youths and women from the area and assured that with their encouragement he will emerge as the victor in 2019 after party primaries.
According to them, “people of Ideato-south are desirous of a true leader to represent us at the IMHA. With the zeal, talents and dynamic leadership prowess of Hon Victor Madumere we are rest assured to be led into the promise land. He will excel, we’ll ensure through our support”. They concluded.
