Ideato North APC Chairman, CJK Chinedu Hails ISIEC Over Successful LGA Elections

The peaceful conduct of the just concluded Local Government elections across the 27 Council areas of the State, by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ISIEC, has received a nod.

The State electoral umpire, headed by the Chairman, Hon Emma Ibeabuchi, last Saturday, August 25, 2018 conducted an election for Chairmanship and Councillorship positions.

The All Progressive Congress, APC, candidates however won the polls by a landslide victory.

Nze CJK Chinedu is from Ozu/Ezemazu ward, booth 008, and recorded a huge turnout of voters that assembled at the polling units as early as 08:00am on Saturday.

Earlier, the electorates affairmed confidence on the party chairman, expressing optimism that now Ideato North APC has a competent hand, in the person of CJK, all the party’s candidates would emerge victorious.

In a commendation speech by the Ideato North APC Chairman, Nze CJK Chinedu, he lauded ISIEC for the peaceful election, describing it as a mark of competence on the Commission.

He attributed the last Saturday’s outing as a mark of new dawn on the people of Imo State, as they were given an enabling environment to exercise their civic responsibility.

In the same vein, the Ideato North born political pundit eulogized the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha for keeping to his words in conducting the LGA elections, saying he is a true leader, with the vision of discernment, especially as it will benefit the masses.

Dismissing allegations that the election was one sided, Nze CJK spoke on a dissenting voice, pointing out that an election that witnessed over 13 political parties cannot be said to be one sided, as all parties were given a level playing ground.

He congratulated the winners and urged them to work for the good of Imolites.

Reiterating his determination in ensuring that APC wins randomly in the upcoming general elections, he charged all party members on resilience.
