Following his burning desire to offer his wealth of experience and selfless service to better the lot of his people, one of the youngest, successful and humble son of Owerri Federal Constituency, Mr Roland C Nwosu has declared to run to run for the Owerri Federal Representative seat under the All Progressive Grand Alliance Party APGA.
Making his intentions known to the party faithfull from the 3 LGAs (Owerri North, Owerri West and Municipal) that make up the federal constituency yesterday at the Obinze Ward 8 APGA office near FUTO junction in Owerri West LGA, the Umuokoto in Nekede born CEO and MD of Realter Dignitas (Real Estate and Sunday Services) posited that he has come to offer himself to serve as courier to lead the people of the Owerri Federal Constituency to the next level, adding that his representation if elected will sincerely bring veritable dividend of democracy to his constituents.
Mr Roland who is also the CEO of MJR Explorers Ltd (A Sand Dridging and Supply company) as well as an astute member of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club NFSC, while stating his vision said the good people of Owerri Federal constituency deserves to take their rightful place in the comity of constituencies and no longer be cajoled by some politicians with their philanthropic antics which according to him represents a pinch of the entire representation requirements and package.
While appreciating others who have represented the federal constituency in the past, Mr Roland Nwosu took time to define what representation means and the best way to be an efficient and effective representative promising to better areas that have not been represented well by giving the peoples opinion and interest prominent attention as well as that of the party and the nation.
He assured he was well aware of the challenges in the area including the people’s condition which he argued will arm him to be ready and in a better position to make laws that will bring good governance and dividend of democracy through constant consultations with the people before making demands in the House.
The graduate of Management and Extension of Agriculture/Economics from Micheal Okpara College of Education now Imo State Polytechnic and PGD holder in Project Management Technology from Federal University of Technology Owerri FUTO, while offering to be the link/channel for every constituent to be part of decision making, he advised members of APGA to always ask his fellow Reps aspirants how they can represent well and not what they can do asserting that part of his desire is to synergize with his would be contemporaries to see how to identify proper boundaries of the old Owerri County Council with the view to positioning the area for more viable and rubost economic non-formal sector that will substitute the gifts of motor bikes and other philanthropic gestures that does not truly make our people independent.
Nwosu who advised for generally accepted candidates to be fielded by the party maintained that if he gets the ticket, that other parties will vote for him because he is a man of the people and that the major concern should be to have someone who answers “Okezuo Oha” instead of “Omere Oha”.
Earlier, the chairman of the party in Owerri West LGA, Hon Emeka Nkwoada while introducing the House of Reps aspirant to the party faithful described him as an unassuming, humble and sincere character that has always impacted the life of people who come across him using the opportunity to advice the ward chairman of the sensitization of members acquiring their PVC’s from next week that will arm them to vote in Roland and other APGA aspirants.
Presenting a brief bio-data of Mr Roland Nwosu, the media aide and uncle, Hon Charles Anozie said the Elders of his kindred and the youths have endorsed him for the Reps Seat while noting that Owerri Municipal and Owerri North have equally learnt their unalloyed support.
Others who spoke during the event including Nze UH Onyeneke of Nekede Ancient Kingdom, Nze Tonex Chukwu, DG RONCO 2019 Campaign organization, Amatosi Frank of Irete Ward 10 and Chief Ifeanyi Isiadinso (Mayor of Moroko) all collaborated that Mr Roland Nwosu when elected would be the answer Owerri Federal Constituency needs.
Some of the dignitaries who also attended the declaration include; Chief Everest Osuji, Hon Isaac Njoku, Mrs Christy Dike all from Nekede Ward 7, Hon Vin Amadi (Chairman Owerri North APGA), Hon Anayo (Sec Municipal APGA), all APGA Ward Chairman OF Owerri West with their Secretaries, Women and Youth leader as well as two Elders from each ward.
