IMO SPEAKER CONDOLES WITH DR. JAMES OKOROMA OVER WIFE’S DEATH

The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin
Uwajumogu has expressed sadness over the sudden death of Mrs. Martha
James Okoroma, the wife of Dr. James Okoroma (Ph.D) who died in a
ghastly motor accident in Abuja.
Speaker Uwajumogu made the remark while sympathizing with Dr. James
Okoroma  over his wife’s demise. Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu has described death
as a necessary end for all mortals but posits that Mrs. Martha James
Okoroma ought to have lived longer but for the unfortunate road
accident.

Hear Mr. Speaker, “I am indeed pained that one of the best writers
from Imo State, Dr. James Okoroma lost his dear wife in a car crash.
Mrs. Martha Okoroma was a devout and hard working Christian who
contibuted to the socio-economic and political development of women in
Nigeria. May God Almighty grant her eternal rest and may the Lord also
grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen”.

In a related development, Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu has described the
gruesome murder of Dr. Charles Nwosu, the Publisher of NATIONAL
SPARROW and NATIONAL TIMES Newspapers (as well as a retired director
of Central Bank of Nigeria CBN) as very unfortunate. He described Dr.
Charles Nwosu as a first class material who was recently inducted as a
“Fellow of the Chartered Administrations Institute (FCAI). Imo Speaker
therefore called on the security agencies in the State to fish out the
killers. “I condole with the management of National Sparrow Newspapers
over this unfortunate loss. I also condole the Independent Publishers
Association Imo State Chapter over the gruesome murder of their
colleague. May the Almighty God grant the people of Owerri West Local
Government Area of Imo State the fortitude to bear this loss. And may
the soul of Chief (Dr.) Charles Nwosu (FCAI) rest in the bosom of the
Lord”. Mr. Speaker concluded.
