Dave Anorue Declares For Mbaike Federal Rep Seat

Hon. Dave Anorue, a Technocrat turned business mogul and Chief Convener of Greater Imo Assembly, GIA, an umbrella body that brings all Imolites together all over the world, on Friday, declared his interest to represent the good people of Mbaike Federal Constituency, comprising Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Local Government Areas in the Federal House of Representatives come 2019.

Making the disclosure in an interaction with Trumpeta , Anorue  said Imo state need a seasoned technocrat not a business man as governor, even as he explained that his decision to contest the position was borne out of his desire to give his people a new lease of life and ameliorate their sufferings.

Hon. Anorue assured that as a man who has the utmost interest of his people at heart, he would lobby and use the instruments of lawmaking to attract democracy dividends to his people, with special attention paid to roads, as well as other critical infrastructures needed for the good of his people.

While declaring his interest to run and achieve his political dream, Anorue who is yet to disclosed his political party said his party will be made public soon, but was fast to say it may not be Peoples Democratic Party, PDP or All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to him, “I promise to bring a positive change where the poor, youths and our women will be relevant. I have toured the world and am on ground. Bad governance and poor representation steamed my decision to join the race. We have not had any State and Federal government presence in my area .As an individual, I have already embarked on grading of over 3km road. The youths of my federal constituency are angry and they have beckoned on me to represent them.”

Hon. Anorue who bore his mind on activities of the group, saying the essence of the association is for good governance, equity and justice to prevail. He said GIA is tired of politicians and business men as governor of Imo state .we have tried them and they failed. The kind of leadership we need is one that will make Imo and Mbaike better, so we need a technocrat and a younger person to pillot the affairs of the state.

The Mberi born technocrat pointed out that GIA have political structure in the 27 council areas of the state cut across the 305 electoral wards in Imo state.
