Football has gradually become a lucrative business as every stakeholder seems to be cashing in on every opportunity to make a fortune out from it.
Nigerians on the other hand have also become very anxious to make quick money to the extent that they can sale the soul of their fellow human.
A disturbing piece of information has reached ‘Imo Trumpeta’ indicating that a certain man known as Moses Uche from Awka in Anambra state who has been parading himself as a football Agent has doped some players from Owerri.
The supposed Agent, Moses is said to had arrived Owerri sometime last month pretending to be in need of young and talented footballers who are wanted by clubs inMaliandEurope.
According to our source Mr Iwuanyanwu Uzoma, the supposed Agent was introduced to some unsuspecting young players by Albanus Idikom who apparently didn’t know what Moses had in mind.
The players, Stanley Okoro, Chukwudi Njoku and Okechukwu Elebue whose dream are to take their playing career abroad unsuspectingly paid all hard earned money to Moses totalling about one million naira, so he can help them achieve their goal.
The young lads set out with their fake Agent, Moses toLagosthrough Asaba where Moses decided to abandon them at Green Park Hotel, Asaba making them to believe he was going to get their visas.
After about three days of waiting for Moses and he didn’t show up they decided to contact their colleagues here in Owerri appealing for transport fare to enable them find their way back to Owerri as it was obvious to them that the whole trip was gimmick.
On Tuesday, help finally came through Coach Albanus who incidentally contacted the boys to Moses as he sent some money to the boys to enable them come back home.
Meanwhile the fake Agent Moses is still at large and Imo Trumpeta can state that so many others like Moses are moving around deceiving unsuspecting young footballers and taking their money all in the name of taking them abroad.
