By Okey Alozie

In braze display of poor media relations, the melancholic Chief Press Secretary, CPS to Imo State Governor, Sam Onwuemeodo on Democracy Day sent out from Government House, a roving correspondent of Trumpeta Newspaper, Mr Okey Alozie.

Alozie had secured an appointment through one of the aides of the governor to be in Government House in the early hours of Tuesday, May 29.

Oblivious of a previous arrangement Okorocha had with Journalists in the state, Alozie went into Government House to honour the appointment.

To the chagrin of other journalists present, Onwuemeodo pounced and onlookers who were miffed at the uncomplimentary gestures of the governor’s media aide, Onwuemeodo pounced on the Trumpeta editorial staff by asking him to walk out on the premise that he was not among those invited for the breakfast chat with the governor, before Alozie politely left.

Some of those who saw what happened to the Trumpeta reporter went to the Governor’s CPS to get reasons for his action but he refused to comment on the matter. Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the CPS (Onwuemeodo), the Trumpeta man said he was surprised that his own brother can treat him in such a hostile manner.

Alozie revealed that both of them are from Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, adding that Onwuemeodo remains his kinsman irrespective of what transpired at the Government House.
