Imozurukwuo on Fire, As Factions Claim Groups Leadership

A Socio-political organization which cuts across Imo State called IMOZURUKWUO has ran into internal turmoil, as the Group splits into two different camps, with each faction laying claim of the authentic IMOZURUKWUO.

The problem came open recently, when a disclaimer was posted by another faction of the Group, signed by Barr George Eke as the President, Chief Damian Ezeagu as Director General, Prof Francis Dike (SAN) as Chairman Patrons Council and Prof Obioma Iheduru as Chairman Board of Trustees, IMOZURUKWUO.

In the disclaimer, it said its attention was drawn to a publication where some people who are not members of IMOZURUKWUO were “falsely holding themselves out as representatives of IMOZURUKWUO in the Imo political space”

George Eke and co went on to state that Imozurukwuo is a registered organization with Corporate Affairs Commission and therefore cannot be impersonated.

They made a reference of a Trumpeta edition which carried out a story where IMOZURUKWUO was receiving some political Aspirants.

But George Eke made it clear “that a certain High Chief Uche Nwosu has been deceiving the gullible Imo public with the claim that he is the Leader of IMOZURUKWUO”

However, calls put across to High Chief Uche Njoku were not replied, but a close source to Njoku said he is the brain behind IMOZURUKWUO, and has been financing the Organization whose meetings were sponsored and held in Njoku’s business premises.

The sources told Trumpeta that unless there may be a plot to hijack the organization from Njoku, which he said will fail “High Chief Uche Njoku is the originator of IMOZURUKWUO and has been supporting the Group till date. But if there are plans by some Groups or individuals to wrestle IMOZURUKWUO from him, that is what I don’t know about” the source told Trumpeta.
