Some members of the Imo State House of Assembly have come under serious watch and monitoring following the suspicion that they are subtly working against the interest of the political family of the governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his son inlaw, Chief Uche Nwosu.
This suspicion is coming against the backdrop of allegations that some of the lawmakers who claim to be in the Rescue Mission team and sympathizers of the governor over his Uche Nwosu for governor project, are now romancing top shots of the APC stakeholders in the State since the congress was concluded.
The suspicion became rife since the governor appears to have lost out in the battle for the soul of APC. Trumpeta learnt that some of the members of the House were accused of not only double dealing but also using subterranean means to work with the other factions plotting against the governor ahead 2019.
This newspaper further learnt that the earmarked lawmakers suspected of playing double face have been charged to prove they are not guilty of the offence by making public statements to affirm their support for Okorocha as well as attack the characters leading the opposition to the governor in Imo APC.
One of the suspected lawmakers from Orlu zone, it was however gathered earned a query from the powers that be in Government House, Owerri that he has shifted allegiance to a leader from his area who recently joined APC, while another was asked to prove his side in the battle through another publication to rubbish activities of the coalition.
Trumpeta findings also have it that members who angrily protested against the removal of Hon Uche Oguwuike for Hon Lugard Osuji as Majority Leader during the last plenary session constitute the bulk of lawmakers their loyalty to Okorocha is questioned. It would be recalled that Okorocha has a partnership with Majority of APC lawmakers in the House with a hope to assist them with a return ticket or House of Reps position.
