2019 IMHA : Sweet Apple Pledges Effective Representation …………As He Begins Ward Tour Of Ikeduru L.G.A

A political die hard of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Dennis Ejikeme Okwu, popularly known as Sweet Apple has given his political ambition a boost as he begins his ward tour of Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.
Speaking to ward leaders of Atta Ward l and II, Chief Dennis informed that, his choice of kicking off his ward tour in Atta was fulled by the strategic location of the area, adding also to the fact that his political leaders, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and PDP Zonal Chairman, Chief Bon Unachukwu whom he respects so much, hails from the area.
He stated that, his interest in the Imo House of Assembly in 2019, was not to enrich himself but to make viable laws and create contacts which will enhance the welfare of the people, saying, he would bring his wealth of experience to bear to ensure that the lives of the people are affected positively.
Appealing for their support, the Ikoha I of Umudim who traced his advent into politics which dated back, insisted that, his philantropic gestures in the past, was never attached to any political interest, adding further that, he was motivated to venture into politics as a need to contribute his quota to human development in a larger scale, with the welfare of the Ikeduru people as a paramount interest.
One of the leaders of Sweet Apple Campaign group, Mr. Sam Amonu , who explained in details the profile of Hon. Ejikeme to ward members, urged them to see him as a credible aspirant who has human face due to his past philantropic gestures and managerial antecedents, further advising members to ensure the right candidate is produced for the good of the people.
One of the ward leaders in Atta Ward I, Chief Bethel Onukuwa who spoke, stressed that, the ward has vowed not to support any aspirant, laying emphasis on aspirants in the past who when sworn in, always sideline the ward, as he charged Sweet Apple not to disappoint the area.
In a brief stopover at the residence of PDP Zonal Chairman, Chief Bon. Unachukwu. Welcoming the group, he maintained that, with events in the political scene he was sure that the PDP will sweep all stakes in all positions in the state as well as field the right candidates. Addressing the aspirant, he said he was not unaware of his antecedents and ability to represent the people.
He advised him not to rest on his oars but work hard as politics is more of a competitive affair.
Charging members of the party to go to work, Chief Unachukwu urged them to go beyond Ikeduru, while he cautioned them against backbiting and rumour mongering, which he said diminishes the zeal among party members.
