WHY OKOROCHA WANTS ME DEAD – Odor.

The Mayor/Chairman of Owerri Municipal Council, Imo State, Chief Emma Odor has not only raised alarm over alleged plans by the state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to kill him, but has also stated the reasons.

In a press release made available to Imo Trumpeta, signed by Odor and copied to Security Agencies, the Council hinted that Okorocha has not forgotten or forgiven him, after he was refused the facilities of the Township Stadium Owerri, during Okorocha’s campaign days on September 25th 2010.

Odor said Okorocha sought, but was denied the stadium, by the Ohakim led government, but Okorocha took it personal believing that he (Odor) gave the instruction simply because he is the Council Chairmen.

“Sycophants working with Chief Okorocha sold the story that I as the chairman of Owerri Municipal council was the cause of the troubles he had that day” Odor wrote.

He also lamented that because of this single belief by Okorocha, the Governor through Owerri Capital Development Authority OCDA, supervised the demolition of Odor family buildings at Nekede road.

“Like Saul, our Governor and his Deputy personally supervised /monitored the demolition of Odor family Estate” he hinted.

He however appealed to the Governor to spare his life as he, Odor was not in any competition with him in 2010, and therefore could not have personally or sponsored the disruption of his campaign programmes.

Odor said the state Commissioner for Commerce, Ichie Uche Mbanaso is also after his life just because he told him that Markets fall into the purview of Local Government, and should hands off markets in Owerri.

He accused Mbanaso of saying that “I shall be declared wanted in a few days time for the killing of one Mr. Uchenna Ibe who was allegedly stabbed to death by one Mr. Chinedu Njoku, a well – known sympathizer and supporter of the commissioner”.
