The Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, and the State Commissioner for Labour and Poverty Alleviation, Hon Blessing Nwammerenini, have received accolades from chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area Imo State over the mass promotion granted to Civil Servants in Imo State by Okorocha during the Workers Day celebration.
Speaking to Trumpeta in Owerri, Chief Blyden Amajirionwu said that Okorocha deserves commendation by the action, which he said has restored a lot of confidence in Imo Civil Service, adding that it is only a Governor with the heart of Gold like Okorocha that could do to that.
But Amajirionwu was happier that this historic act took place when a son of Ngor Okpala, Hon Blessing Nwammerenini was the Commissioner for Labour in the State.
The House of Representative hopeful for Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency said these could only happen during the reign of Nwammerenini as Commissioner because of the Grace following the man he described as committed to the cause of Okorocha’s administration as an astute loyalist to the Governor’s ideologies and policies.
“When the history of the mass promotion of Imo civil servants would be recorded, Governor Okorocha’s name would be prominent and of course, Nwammerenini, a son of Ngor Okpala would be named as the Commissioner then” Amajirionwu said.
Also speaking, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Chief Chidi Eke expressed joy over the synergy existing between him and the Commissioner representing Ngor Okpala in the Imo State Executive Council.
Chief Eke said that today with the help of the Commissioner for Labour, and other APC chieftains, Ngor APC is now standing on good stead to win 2019 elections.
He said that Nwammerenini’s mien, good conduct and grassrooted disposition has won APC in Ngor Okpala more converts, pointing out that the Commissioner is fully incharge of his Area, and committed to deliver whoever the Governor presents to the APC as the fellow to succeed him, just as Ngor Okpala APC is Okorocha-compliant.
