While the Governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha fights to up-turn the results of the All Progressive Congress, APC Ward Congresses held in Imo State last Friday, he is said to also be plotting to move to another political party, if his wish is not allowed to happen by the APC hierarchy in Abuja.

According to information available to this Newspaper, Okorocha, who now is at the Federal Capital Abuja with his lieutenants battling for the cancellation of the congresses, is said to be clutching plan B on his chest, which is to move out of APC with his loyal followers, where they would execute the 2019 elections.

Okorocha is said to be uncomfortable with the situation now in APC, especially in Imo State, where his political opponents seem to have hijacked the party from the top to the bottom, as the results of the last congress can confirm.

Trumpeta learnt that the Governor had contacted former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to know if his “Third Force” will be joining with Social Democratic Party, SDP to form a political party in 2019.

Before the latest romance with Obasanjo, there was report earlier that Okorocha’s Chief of Staff, Son inlaw and chosen successor Chief Uche Nwosu, had paid a surprise visit to SDP office in Abuja for undisclosed reasons.

Sources had said that Nwosu’s visit then was to fraternize with SDP Leadership in case things fall out like as it has now done in Imo APC congress.

A top and reliable source from All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, told Trumpeta that Okorocha had made contact with the party in Anambra State, on how he can pull his weight into the party with his followers.

The source who is a top legislator in Anambra State said that Okorocha is trying to reach the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willy Obiano, through mutual friends, since Obiano and Okorocha are not close Buddies following the roles played by Imo State Governor during Obiano’s second term bid.

“My Governor Obiano sees Okorocha as an opposition to his second term bid. He believes his brother Governor from Imo State does not respect him. However, since it is about how to build APGA, we shall relay his message and see what goes” the Legislator told Trumpeta.

This Newspaper also learnt that if the other measures fell, Okorocha will dust up his former political Baby, the Action Alliance AA.

But sources close to AA told Trumpeta that Okorocha has not reached them yet, even though they are studying the political developments in Imo State, pointing that AA knows that sooner than later, Okorocha will approach them.

“But he has lost AA to people who have since restructured and rebuilt the party these past years. Therefore if he wants to return to the party, Okorocha most follow the right channel by maintaining due process” the Imo State Publicity Secretary of AA, Mr Okponwa Eze told Trumpeta.

However, when Trumpeta contacted an Aide to Okorocha who ought to know about the matter, the Aide said “I reserve my comment for now”.
