A community leader and campaign co-ordinator to Senator Samuel Anyanwu “for Governor 2019”, Mr. Reginald Nwokeji from Akuma in Oru-East L.G.A., has expressed gratitude to the state Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Charles Ezekwem for promising him easy access to the 3-man PDP delegates for the forthcoming primary election in Oru-East.
Mr. Nwokeji made this known while receiving a PDP House of Assembly aspirant in the area Mr Reginald Chigozie Nwaneri who paid him a courtesy visit at his country home with his campaign team at Akuma in Oru-East L.G.A.
Pressmen who were at the event said that though, the House of assembly aspirant who begged for Mr. Nwokeji and his campaign group support felt happy on hearing the assurance from the State Chairman of the Party to Mr. Nwokeji, but this development seem to have created fears and worries by the party members who are intending to vie for the position of party delegates during the forthcoming PDP primaries are now scared saying that the State PDP chairman, Mr Ezekwem is an inlaw to Nwokeji family.
According to those intending party delegates, they expected the PDP State Chairman to remain neutral and stand on a level play ground as he always preaches at every PDP meeting and forums. They appealed to the entire party leaders and stakeholders not to allow imposition of aspirants or candidates on party members or influence the exercise to enable the party nominate credible candidates at all levels for 2019 elections.
