Saddened by the recent killings across the States by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Harma, Imo Youths and women has been called to participate actively in respective of their denominations in the one-day Prayer summit and Solemn Assembly organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Imo state chapter.
The Director of Youths, Women and Education of Imo State CAN, who is also the President, Southern Youths Wing of CAN, Barr Oluchukwu Nnabugwu made this clarion call recently in Owerri.
He noted that the prayer submit which will commence today, 31st of April, 2018 by 9am at Imo bouquet hall behind IICC, is aimed at seeking God’s Intervention on the recent killings especially in Benue, Taraba, Borno and other states being attacked by Herdsmen and Boko Harma terrorist.
The Youths and women Boss further reiterated the need for all Christians to come together to ask God to salvage the country from irresponsive leadership, continuous clashes/killings and the safe return of the Dapchi girl, Liah Sharibu who is still held captive by Islamic insurgents.
He added that Imo CAN headed by Apostle Godson Ibeji and his executives have concluded plans towards making the prayer submit a reality, while calling on all to come out in their numbers to avert reprisal attacks being masterminding by the devil.
