Unperturbed by the advent of next political season come 2019, associated with drums of awareness by political aspirants and their supporters, the Honorable Member representing Okigwe North in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Obinna Onwubuariri has expressed optimism that his antecedents will speak for him.

Hon Obinna Onwubuariri, representing the people of Onuimo, Okigwe and Isiala Mbano Federal Constituency  in the National Assembly, during a telephone conversation with Trumpeta Correspondent, yesterday, said he is not in any contest with anyone, rather, believes his effective representation so far is enough to determine his fate come 2019 general elections.

He stated that he wouldn’t have been a Federal lawmaker without the love and unflinching supports of his Federal Constituency, positing that his stay at the Green Chambers has never been for his gains, but for the overall interest of his constituents.

He added, “My concern is anything that will make my people happy. I am on the course for selfless service”.

Apparently, Onwubuariri reaffirmed his determination to further uplift the standards of living of his Federal Constituency, greater to what they have been enjoying presently.

However, he told this Newspaper that he is not worried by the number of aspirants jostling for the position, revealing that in 2015, they were about fifteen aspirants under the same platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The young Federal lawmaker therefore opined that politics should be a call to service, and not a do or die affair, as it has been erroneously conceived by many.

According to him, “Power is being given by God through the masses. The voice of man is the voice of God. I am very confident and convinced that at the end, the “Will” of God must prevail”.

In a related development, the vibrant legislator condemned the APC led administration in the country, stressing that Nigerians entered a “one chance vehicle” that has crippled the economic strength of the Nation.

He hinted that in the past five to six years, the economy wasn’t as bad as it is, due to the present Government. However, he enjoined the citizenry to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) for the desired governance.
