ANRP Holds Congress In Imo …We’ll change concept of governance — Chibuike

A 21st Century political party in Nigeria, Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, ANRP made history at the just concluded congress held last Saturday, 14th April 2018, at the Party Secretariat, 47 Egbu Road, Owerri, as ANRP Imo state Chapter democratically elected her State Working Executive Committee to pilot the affairs of the party.

In release made to Trumpeta newspapers, the 12-man State Working Executive committee to run the affairs of the party in the state was elected, they include:

  1. Chairman – Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu
  2. Vice Chairman –  Ogechi Ajaero
  3. State Secretary –  Obinna Ogueri
  4. Spokesman – Chidozie Chukwubuike
  5. Treasurer – Tochi Nzeribe
  6. Secretary, Strategy – Lemuel Chima
  7. Secretary, Information and Media Engagement – Ihunyere Solomon
  8. Secretary, Organization and Mobilization- Dick Sunny Uchenna
  9. Secretary, Intelligence and Cyber Security – Bonaventure Nwaigwe
  10. Secretary, Gender Balance and Youth Development – Ndidiamaka K. Ezeh
  11. Secretary, Internal Control and Party Discipline – Nnaemeka Ugochukwu
  12. Deputy Secretary, Strategy – Onyekurunkeya Onyeukwu

Trumpeta reliably gathered that the exercise was conducted in an transparent, free and fair contest, supervised by accredited delegates led by the National Secretary of the party and Chief Electoral Officer of ANRP, Barr Ebere Nwankwo. The congress was certified by the Independent National Electoral Commission officials and observed by journalists, security agents.

In an acceptance speech on behalf of the newly elected SWE, the ANRP state chairman, Mr Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu thanked party members for the trust and confidence bestowed on them to steer the party to enviable heights, noting that as a youth friendly political party, their intent is to ensure youths become leaders of today.

The youngest political party chairman in Imo state pointed out that ANRP has come against all odds to rescue our dear country from the misconception of governance, maintaining that as a grassroots political party, with visible presence in all area councils of the state, the issue of imposition, godfathers or moneybags are not part of the set standards of ANRP. According to him, “we say no! to money politics, impunity, nepotism, imposition, all forms of undemocratized processes and godfatherism in Nigeria. Our funds are sourced through crowd funding (contributions by members of the Party). Kindly support the new Exco to deliver on our lofty mandate to make the party great ahead 2019 election” he said.

Mr. Nwachukwu added that the newly elected executive is also poised to galvanize momentum to deliver on the mandate that will transform the political landscape of the state. He urged youths desirous for good governance to join hand through ANRP to insure a better life for themselves and future.

The ANRP National Secretary of the party and Chief Electoral Officer, Barr Eberechukwu Okonkwo said the party is poised to take over power from the ruling party at all levels of government. He described ANRP as a political movement that has come to restore the hope of the people and enjoined Imolite to join the train.

In his remarks, leader of INEC monitoring team, Barr Victor Nwokeabia said he was satisfied with the outcome of the exercise describing it as free, fair and credible congress ever conducted in recent times in the State.
