OKOROCHA HOLDS HEARTLAND’S PACKAGE CLOSE TO HIS CHEST.

‘Back to Back’ Federation Cup champions Heartland Fc, have been asked to wait a little more before knowing what their package for retaining the cup will be.

This was the fall – out of Friday’s reception by the state government at the chambers of the Multi – purpose hall in the government house, Owerri.

Meanwhile, the cup holders were told their arrears of signing – on – fees for 2011/12 season will be paid off latest this week.

The state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha who gave this assurance at the reception avoided making new promises preferring to clear the old debts first.

They were later hosted to a dinner party on Friday night at the Concorde Hotel, Owerri in celebration of a job well done after wining the Federation cup back – to – back 2011 and 12 totaling three trophies in a space of 10 months having won the Charity Cup in the beginning of the season over Dolphins FC the current NPL Champions. Heartland were also assured of the brand new bus earlier promised by the governor last time they won the cup as Okorocha ordered that the old bus be given to the supporters club to enable them attend the teams away matches.

The Naze Millionaires will this week focus their attention on the remaining NPL game at home against Awka United on the 7th of September without much pressure as the team really don’t have any relegation traite with 52 points from 37 league games.
