The Peoples Democratic Party, Imo State, on Sunday raised the sum of Three Billion Naira (N3B) on the spot in personal donations during the party’s Stakeholders meeting held at the party’s State Secretariat located at Okigwe Road, Owerri.
The meeting which attracted Imo PDP bigwigs resolved that the party would work hard and return to Imo Government House, come 2019 elections.
Speaking to the mamoth crowd, one of the prominent Leaders of the party in Imo State, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu asked the All Progressives Congress APC, both in Imo State and Abuja to start packing their loads for the exit door, because the APC has enthroned poverty and regret on Nigerians, as the party has woefully failed in its promises to Nigerians.
Chief Iwuanyanwu asked Imo PDP members to relocate to their Wards and mobilize the people to participate massively in the new INEC registration going on, because only those that have Permanent Voters Card (PVC) have the power to determine who rule them through the power of their votes.
The member of PDP Board of Trustees maintained that with the peace and calm that have returned to Imo PDP, the party is now ready to take back power from the APC in 2019.
In a sudden donations by members, the PDP integrity Group based in Lagos donated N1B, other individuals especially aspirants for the 2019 election made contributions too, which in the end came to N3B.
