The immediate past General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, presently a Deputy Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue, Barr Obinna Amagwula has warned detractors of the Rescue Mission Government to desist from cheap blackmail, rivalry and criticisms against Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Amagwula made this clarion call, especially to persons known for peddling false rumours against Okorocha’s led government in a media conversation with Trumpeta correspondent in Owerri.
Unequivocally, he said that no right thinking person can muster courage to criticize the present government after comparing the present Imo to what it used to be. He added that Imo State as at today has been placed on the World map for all her recorded achievements in terms of education, health, boost in economy, infrastructure, tourism and above all on her human development capital.
Obinna Amagwula further stated that it’s only an enemy of goodwill that would not, upon seeing all the changes Okorocha has brought to the State still talk ill about the Rescue Mission.
Furthermore, the two time TC Chairman of Oru East LGA buttressed the need for Imolites to be grateful to God for blessing the land with such a man (Okorocha) when it was obvious the State was almost in comatose condition due to maladministration before 2011.
Also, he pin pointed that Owelle Okorocha remain the best governor Imo has ever produced since its creation, hoping that such leadership will continue even after 2019. He opined that Imo citizens owe Okorocha undaunted love and gratitude, other than ingratitude for making their lives better.
Notwithstanding, he expressed joy that Governor Okorocha as a man with the seal of God and vision of bringing Imolites to the promised land does not listen to negative talks, rather does what benefit the overall interest of the masses.
Speaking ahead 2019 general elections, Barr Amagwula admonished Imo politicians to always seek the face of God and not to win people’s sympathy or support by murdering/denting other persons reputation, saying that power belongs to God.
