16 years after he narrowly escaped death, the General overseer of Over Comers Christian Mission (OCM) worldwide, Archbishop Alexander Ekemuba, on Sunday recalled how he was unjustly accused of eating human flesh during the Otokoto saga.

He said that the Otokoto saga almost led him to the world beyond, as he was erroneously accused of such barbaric act.

Ezeugo who spoke at the 2012 Annual Father’s day of Over Comers Christian Mission, said the word of God came to pass when he was told to relax and watch the lord exonerate him from the imbroglio.

Speaking also at the event, guest speaker, Rev. Peter Joseph from Calabar, Cross River state who made reference from 1 Chronicles 11; 10, urged politicians to take the country higher. He also encouraged the fathers to take positive steps because no great man in the bible succeeded with out taking risks and that strong sacrifice brings strong prophecy. He reminded them of the Church project that is ongoing and urged them to help build the church because “the work you did while alive will follow you”.

Earlier in, a welcome address was read by the chairman of Men’s fellowship, Mcmore B.Obinna, said that the fellowship promotes spiritual and physical up-liftment of men in the church for God’s glory, and that it fosters peace, unity and genuine love among the men. He thanked Archbishop Ekweuba and his wife, Bishop (Mrs.) Francisca Ekweuba for the opportunity to build people in the holy faith.

Highlight of the occasion was the award given to people that has contributed to the church’s growth and the country. Some of the recipients include Sen. Chris Anyanwu, Sen. Sylvester Anyanwu, Hon. Bethel Amadi, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho and a host of others.
