2019 Imo Election Displaced New Market Traders Identify with UPP, Vow to Vote out APC ..As Prince Onyewuchi Sympathizes with Victims

 

Irked by the treatment melted to them by the Rochas Okorocha led APC government which displaced most of them from their place of business and sent many to the Village, members of the New Market Traders, Owerri have decide to pitch tent with United Progressive Party UPP Imo State Chapter, to further register their annoyance after their Market was demolished by Rescue Mission government some months back.

Speaking the event at the party’s state secretariat on Okigwe road, Owerri the President of the Market Traders, Bro Emma expressed their disappointment and displeasure over the manner the a government that was elected to protect their welfare and security has turned most of them to beggars not minding that they are bread winners of their family.

He averred that he and his members have resolved to ditch the APC government and their antics ahead the 2019 general elections pledging to identify and vote UPP in the next coming guber election in the State.

In his speech, the State Chairman of the party, Dr Linus Egbuchulam, former Majority Leader in the State House of Assembly during Gov Ikedi Ohakim’s regime welcomed the displaced traders to the party assuring them that if elected into the Douglas House that they will look plight with view helping back to their feet again.

Also speaking, a guber aspirant in the party, Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna consoled the traders over their plight and promised that if granted the opportunity to flag the party’s flag and eventually wins, his government shall work towards creating a viable economy that will benefit all and sundry.

He maintained that UPP remains the only party that can restore hope to imolites and liberate the economy but charged the youths to shun political hungry and direct their energy to positive things of life.
