The executives of Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum, (OZOPOLF), a pressure group in Owerri zone, has re-affirmed its readiness for an Owerri man or woman to capture Government House, Owerri.
The group stated this last Saturday, during a breakfast meeting with the National Woman leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Dr. (Mrs) Kema Chikwe.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Secretary of OZOPOLF, Bar. Kingsley Onunuju said what necessitated the establishment of the group was the marginalization Owerri zone has suffered in the hands of governance, adding that by hook or crook, the zone would produce the next governor of Imo state.
Responding, the National Woman Leader of PDP, Ambassador (Mrs) Kema Chikwe thanked the group for honouring her invitation and promised to work with them.
She also frowned at the dilapidated state of the zone, affirming that OZOPOLF would be the right pressure group that would bring development to the area.
The PDP Woman Leader however enjoined the group to work in synergy with each other, adding that it was the respect, she attributes to them that prompted her invitation and requested that they should accompany her to the concluding ceremony of August meeting of the women in the area.
