Amawom Youth Organization Inaugurates New Excos

An apex youth body of Owerri people under the aegis of Amawom Youth Organization, OYO over the weekend swore in an 11man newly elected executives to run the association’s affair for the next two years.

Speaking after the Swearing in Ceremony, the new Chairman of the group, Comrade Olumba Njemanze promised to run an open door policy irrespective of one’s background, educational status and gender, maintaining that his administration would be prudent with the associations finance.

Comrade Olumba meanwhile appealed to the youths to always identify with the association, saying he has mapped out workable strategies to assist job seekers and others who may be in need of one thing or another.

The new Chairman further disclosed his readiness to defend his people especially the youths whom he alleged have for some years been neglected.

He maintained that the association which is the only group in Amawom that carries youths along in its decision making would work tirelessly within his tenure towards making sure that graduates not yet employed are given opportunity to do so in order to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the society.

He however pleaded with community leaders, king makers as well as those occupying one political position or the other to grant the right of decent to all concern and his organization in particular to ensure unity of purpose among all concern.

While commending members of his association for standing by him before, during and after the election that ushered him into office, he promised never to let down the trust imposed on him assuring that he would be transparent, loyal, to all while carrying out his assignment.

Also speaking, the Chairman Electoral Committee, Mr.Okey Njemanze applauded the youths for their steadfastness and unity of purpose in keeping the mandate of the group alive.

He congratulated the new executive on their victory during election urging them to put the interest of Owerri youths and people above every other things as such would help in propagating the aims and objectives of the founding fathers of Owerri extraction.
