Transition Committee Chairmen in Imo State and their members will take their oath of office by Thursday next week at Imo government House, Trumpeta has gathered.
Information made available to this paper reveals that the Chairmen and their members held a special meeting with Imo Chief of Staff and other top government functionaries Thursday and were the date for the official swearing in was made known to them.
The Chief of Staff Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was said to have briefed them on modalities for the swearing in ceremony.
This newspaper gathered that preparation for the swearing in ceremony has also started at the various Local Government Areas.
The Transition Committee members are expected to appear on special dress on the swearing in day for them to take the center stage.
It is most likely that some members of the Transition Committee maybe drop before the swearing date. Reason is that some of them are suspected to belong to Araraume’s camp.
In a related development, the state governor is now having a second look at the Commissioner nominees from the 27 local Government Area of Imo State to ascertain those who are truly with him or against him.
It could be recalled that for more than four months now, Imo State government has been functioning without commissioners.
The governor is said to be taken his time to make sure that he did not appoint anybody from the opposing camp as Commissioner.
For this reasons as we were told, the list given to his is now undergoing serious screening.
The governor is said to have insisted that only those who are rescue mission compliance will be given political appointment this time around in order to play safe in government.
Meanwhile Senator Araraume’s camp is said to be waxing strong and is now controlling over 60% of APC structure in Imo State and this according to our source has sent danger signed to Okorocha.
