A non- Governmental Organization (NGO) by name, When In Need Foundation (WIN) has said that its activities are tailored at giving back to society, through selfless services to mankind.
This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WIN, Chief Dr Chitachi Nwoga- Ecton, while speaking to the Press in Owerri, Imo State.
Dr Chitachi who said she founded the NGO and funds its single handedly, maintained that WIN is into touching lives through Farming, Provision of water, Health Care Delivery, Scholarships, Picking of Hospitals Bills, Talent Hunts, Grants, etc.
The Ahiazu Mbaise born philanthropist disclosed that she took to what she is doing because she learnt through her own experience in life while growing up, adding that she derives joy from helping the needy.
She said WIN is registered in the United States of America USA, and Nigeria, stressing that the NGO has been in existence for over five years now and is self-sustained.
Dr Ecton, however said that WIN is open to contributions from individuals, Groups and Government, but with no strings attached, as she would not deviate from the main objective behind floating the NGO.
WIN has been administering free medical services in Ideato South LGA Imo State, where some foreigners joined in the exercise, including a serving American Senator, James Sanders Jnr, Dr Casmir Nwoga, Angela Perez, Rev Elija Irodibo, Dr George Onuorah, Drs Emma Jumbo, Oguamalam Modestus, Okolie Nnamdi, Ugwu Nnaemeka and Ogbonna Kevin.
There are sixteen eye Doctors on the Ideato trip, among who are Drs Osunkwo George, Uwakwem Esther, Frank Madu, Ohasiri Joan, Edidi Obiageli etc.
The people of Ideato Nation out of euphoria gave Dr Mrs. Chitachi a Chieftaincy title, and prayed God to continue to guide her and family, for remembering the needy in deed.
